Open Question: Do your parents hate anime?
My mom doesn't seem to like it, as well as my dad. They think that I am "too obsessed with it and I should do other things." Oddly, they don't care if I watch InuYasha... Oo But that's because I watch one episode of it On Demand once every few weeks. They also don't mind if I draw manga, either... oddly. My older sister hates anime as well, but the only one she seems to like is Death Note (which I don't care for because... it seems to be too overrated). Two of my younger brothers (Billy and Andrew, who are Narutards) got my parents to watch Spirted Away. Seems like that's the only anime movie that they approve of... Overall, my parents seem to hate anime. They think that it's "stupid." Why do I like anime? Because the stuff that Cartoon Network has is not entertaining for me anymore. It's all about bathroom humor and nose jokes on that channel. >< *Spirited Away Sorry for my typos! Ugh... mistakes. *evil eye to the Mistakes Fairy* Oh yeah! I don't watch anime all the time. I actually do other things. Like Mario Kart and *imitates* SUPER MARRRIOOOOO GALAXXXYYYY!!! I don't think he minds comic books. To be honest, the only anime that he had when he was a lot younger was Speed Racer. O_O

Ive got one foot tattoo so far that reflects my grandad who died two years ago and ive decided to get another one. Since I was about 16 i've used drawing manga (japanese art) as a "stress release" and its been quite a big part of the last 4/5 years. Ive drawn loads of designs since turning 18 about what i want to get to reflect the japanese artist in me and its upsetting to see alot of people having cherry blossoms as tattoos as for me they truely do represent the beauty of japanese art! Ive got a design im liking alot and ive based it on this shape : http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs13/f/2006/360/1/e/wrist_tattoo_by_Badk1tty21.jpg Its similar but not the same at all really but im wondering where to get it. And id have that but tilted upwards! I work in retail and one day hope to work in schools so i want it somewhere that i can cover up. My first tattoo is on one foot but im thinking it would look wierd to have two foot tattoos. So my first thought is the back of my neck but then i get the whole "is it appropriate for schools"etc! What do you guys suggest! I think my wrist is too visible to work in a school and im not a fan of boob tattoos lol Well i want people to see it but i just want to be able to cover it when i work. I know that tats can look horrible when you get older and your skin looses its firmness but then thats life. I dont mind. I think also i could get it between my shoulder blades

i've been reading the manga Bakuman and it's really inspired me to strart drawing manga but theres only one problem...i can't draw for sh!t :( i'm thinking of picking up some how to draw manga books and practicing a ton but will that be enough? also i know most manga artist start drawing when they are about six years old. i'm about 14. is that too late? could someone please help me and give me advice on if i will ever be skilled at manga? i want to be good enough to draw stuff like this: http://img.onemanga.com/mangas/00000111/? and as detailed as death note. also what are some books you would recommend and what supplies or materials would i need?

Resolved Question: Would you draw some characters for me?
I wasn't sure which category to post this in so I just re-posted it in this one as well. I need someone who can draw manga/anime style. Preferably someone with a deviant art account. My art skills are um.....yeah. So I need someone who is preared to draw quite a few character(Of course not in a rush or hurry) from this anime show idea I've been working on. Okay so I love anime and manga and I have for a while. The series I ever got really absorbed in to was Death Note. But sadly I've watched all the episodes and read all the manga. So I need a new series. Any suggestions? Also could you give me a small summary about the series you mention? Heres a little bit about my preferences in manga and anime. I Like: Realistically drawn manga and anime. No stupid fillers Serious subjects Shonen-ai Shojo-ai Action Things I don't like: Really long physical battles Filler episodes Annoying stupid characters No plot Too much humor.
Resolved Question: How can you tell if a manga is drawn well or not...?
I'm just curious. I know absolutely nothing about art, and I have heard that some of my favorite mangas were drawn really well and others not, but I can't tell the difference. Can someone tell me some characteristics of a well-drawn and some of a poorly-drawn manga? Thanks =)

Alright... so there's this boy that I love, and he knows that my friends and I LOVE to draw manga and things as such. So, one day when my friend and I were putting away our laptops, he was there too. and when she showed him the drawing, he said that it looked weird. When I asked him about what he thought of my drawings, he walked to the door, and while going out, said that Not all of them are. What I want to do is show him one of my drawings and ask him... we don't have a very solid and close relationship, but we can still talk with ease and comfort. Please help me! I want to know how to start the conversation at the least!!
