The characters created by mastermind Joss Whedon will live on forever. Initially a movie (starring Kristy Swanson and Donald Sutherland) it wasn't until the series began that Buffy (and its subsequent spin-off Angel became really popular) Whether it's the thought of an attraction between a vamipre (Angel) or a vampire slayer (Buffy) or the lives of those surrounding them (better known as the Scoobies for those regular readers and watchers of the buffyverse). After all with a witch (Willow) a mean (yet sometimes loveable) Vampire (Spike) or all around good guy (Xander) not to mention the other regulars there's bound to be something for everyone.

For the most part these shows created by Joss Whedon have reached a cult like status and now even though shows like Buffy have gone off the air you can still not only read about them in paperback novel form or online stories,  even now their journey continues in Buffy Season 8 where creator Joss Whedon brings Buffy back direct from the ending of the tv series in his new comic book (from Dark Horse Comics).

A search of book stores or places like Amazon.com and you'll also find many Buffy novels that have been published

The 'Ships (relationships) when it comes to Buffy/Angel fanfic there's a variety of different relationships to be found and for the most part if you're  shipper of a particular couple that's all you want to read about. There's many cannon relationships (the couples found in the show - Buffy/Angel, Xander/Anya etc) but there's also the uncoventional ones that while never seen in the series, people wish they had (Buffy/Willow, Spike/Xander, Angel/Willow etc)
