Just Cause: A famous Harvard Law School professor is convinced to help a black gentleman in Florida who’s getting ready to be executed for a heinous offense he avows he didn’t carry out. He takes on the case and things take many twists and turns before we see how things turn out.. Cast includes Sean Connery, Laurence Fishburne, Kate Capshaw, Blair Underwood, Ed Harris, Chris Sarandon, and George Plimpton. (102 minutes,’95)
Down with Love: Spoof of the’60s Doris Day-Rock Hudson comedies has Zellweger as the writer of a most popular novel on female rights in a battle of the genders with playboy/publication author McGregor. Cast includes Renee Zellweger, Ewan McGregor, David Hyde’ Perforate, Sarah Paulson, Tony Randall, Lei Ryan, and Rachel Dratch. (94 minutes, 2003)
The Beverly Hillbillies: This is a movie based on the’60’s TV series. When Jed Clampett accidentally finds oil on his rural land in Arkansas, he becomes an instant billionaire. He brings the whole Clampett clan out to Beverly Hills. Being simple country folk they are pray to every money hungry con artist in the big city.
See you in the Morning: Bridges and Krige follow a difficult journey to a second matrimony for both of them, trying to delete poor memories and lingering complications and having to triumph over each other’s youngsters. Overall knowledge, warmth, and gentility are expressed in this relationship film. Cast includes Jeff Bridges, Alice Krige, Farrah Fawcett, Linda Lavin, Drew Barrymore, and Robin Bartlett. Frontier Hellcat: Another Karl Winnetou tale, which seizes flavor of the Old West in the adventure of pioneers passing through Rockies. Cast includes Stewart Granger, Elke Sommer, Pierre Brice, and Gotz George. (98 minutes,’66)
Passenger 57: Mastermind terrorist Charles Rane has hijacked flight 163. When they terrorist make their move, passenger 57, security expert John Cutter, is in the bathroom. When he comes out, he sees the situation, remains unseen, and plots to save the flight, and it’s passengers.
Ada: Dean Martin stars in this story of political corruption. With determination and commitment, a poor man finds his ways to riches in this politically based drama. Susan Hayward, Dean Martin, and Martin Balsam are the movies stars. (1961 drama Daniel Mann directs)
