A New Year Brings New Fandoms
So I’ve gone and done it again. I’ve gone and got myself involved in two new fandoms - it’s not like there’s enough time in the day for me to keep up with all I’m reading now The thing is that there’s an author I really like who writes in what’s probably one of [...]
October Teitho Plus Other Fanfic Stuff
First up Here is the new one: At Teitho, the challenge for October is Weird Tales: It’s supposed to be as general as possible to give you the opportunity to write anything fitting the spirit of Halloween: haunted houses, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, magic. Middle Earth has its fair share of dark corners. Halloween is the perfect time [...]
New Teitho
September is nearly upon us and that means a new challenge:) At Teitho, the challenge for September is Crossroads: There are different angles from which you can tackle this theme. You could interpret it in a realistic manner and write about characters travelling or standing at a crossroads. If you prefer, you can of course also [...]
Jult Teitho
new month, new Teitho:) At Teitho, the challenge for July is Competitions: I think you all remember Legolas’ and Gimli’s friendly competition of who killed more orcs. However, this is - of course! - not the only competition one will come across in Middle Earth. Therefore, Teitho challenges you to describe all kinds of competitions in [...]
June Teitho
Sorry this is a bit late this month - I’ve been away. Here’s the new challenge over at Teitho: At Teitho, the challenge for June is Strange Encounter. What draws us to the world Tolkien created is not only the characters. To a large extent, it is also the fact that Middle Earth is a place of [...]
New Teitho challenge
At Teitho, the challenge for May is Crime and Punishment: You could take this challenge as an opportunity to explore how “crime and punishment” would have looked in Middle Earth. Or you could approach this challenge on a more personal level: How would Aragorn be punished by his wife if he forgot their anniversary? The [...]
More Fanfic Sites To Disappear
It seems that since the internet and fanfiction combined there have been fanfic sites hosted at GeoCities - Authors could upload and host their fanfic on their own homepages to share with the world. While nowadays there’s plenty of sites that host and archive fanfiction there’s still plenty of old stuff to be found via [...]
Teitho challenge
At Teitho, the challenge for April is “When I Was Your Age…!” Haven’t we all heard that sentence in our youth, mostly spoken in a long-suffering voice by an adult? It would be followed by the story of a misspent youth or the recounting of a marvelous adventure or a wise decision we would never [...]
New Challenge At Teitho
At Teitho, the challenge for March is Eat, Drink and Be Merry! We challenge you to write about food and drink, about what different cultures eat and drink, about how food is prepared or even about sowing, reaping or famines. Write about feasts or parties or drinking games! If you want to participate, head over [...]
Women?s Murder Club - Virtual Season
So if you’ve read the Virtual Season 2 of Women’s Murder Club I’m sure you’re desperately hoping there’s going to be a season 3 - And if you haven’t read it - Why Not? it’s brilliant. One of the best virtual seasons I’ve come across and even if you never watched the show you can still [...]
