Review:  A  Journey Of  Soulmates
Fandom: Xena
Pairing: X/G
Rating: Alternative but not explicit scenes - pgish
Author:  Name: Melissa Good (Merwolf)
Story Link:  Merwolf's Cave (main page all stories and other info can be found from here)

Probably one of the most well known series in the Xenaverse it seems this is where many readers got their fanfic start. Starting with 'A Warrior By Any Other Name' and moving along with other indivudual  novel length stories  it follows Xena and Gabrielle as they build on their relationship from friends to soulmates,  covering many aspects seen in the show (including the much talked about rift) plus adding more detail, characters and action it's an all round great series to read.  With action, adventure and angst you'll be reading for hours.

Melissa Good not only has a wonderful uber series to be found on that page, she's also had the story of Dar and Kerry (starting with Tropical Storm) published and she wrote episodes for the last season of Xena.

Review: March 16th (and Sequels)
Fandom: Xena
Pairing: X/G Rating: Alternative - pgish  for first novel, higher ratings in some others (check disclaimers)
Author: Name: Linda Crist (Texbard)
Story Link: (No longer has her own site - all online stories can be found at The Royal Academy Of Bards and Ausxip)

This story begins where one of the fans favourite episodes 'Ides Of March' ends, and if you're looking to sink your teeth into an alternative view of what happened to them (that is no Eve, no twilight of the gods, no new charkram etc) then you're in for a helluva good story with this one (and its sequels - at the time of writing there are four - actually there is another floating around the place though it was pulled from many sites covering their holiday). It's a romantic, action adventure as the two bring their feelings to life and in this and the following stories build their life toghether amongst familiar characters (amazons etc) and meet new friends. March 16th (the first in the series) was the first attempt at a novel length story and fanfic by author Linda Crist (Texbard) and she certainly did a great job at it. And from there moved on to not only write other online fanfics and uber stories: The Bluest Eyes In Texas can not only be found online, it along with a sequel and other stories have also been published.
